Interesting! Topical Solution May Be Less Toxic Option for Patients with Noncancerous Skin Growth |   GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences   |    29 March 2018

Opening Line:

‘George Washington University researchers published a study on an FDA-approved topical solution for the treatment of seborrheic keratosis’

Read more via the link >>>

Wow! these things always happen just as I’ve had the procedure done already LOL only 3 months ago.  I went for my review on Wednesday 4 April 2018.

‘A Topical solution may be have been less cytotoxic than the cryosurgery I had a couple of months ago to remove a 20 yr old, very large, seborrheic keratosis, from my left chest wall!?’

Typical!!

‘I must admit the worst part of the whole thing for me was the reaction from the sticky plasters I’d had to cover it with because I’d knocked it and it had torn the skin.  Obviously did not wish to get it infected so had to keep it clean and change plasters until a week later when I knew it was likely to be removed.

The pain and inflammation, from the allergic reaction to the sticky stuff, caused me more pain and discomfort than the removal of the seborrheic keratosis using ‘cryosurgery’…

… and that stung a bit!

My skin in that region is now exceptionally sensitive, and tender to touch, even the friction from my clothing causes me problems.’

This article asks a good question!

How to Ease the Pain of Colonoscopy  |   Michael Greger M.D. FACLM   nutritionfacts.org  |  5 April 2018

Very good thought process producing a very good question because I use it anways for similar purposes.

So why don’t they use peppermint oil as a natural way to calm the spasming which causes the pain?

I’ve had 2 sigmoidoscopies rather than colonoscopies and I believe that this treatment would also work for that.   Both times I had a procedure done at the same time.  The first one they removed 3 polyps the second they banded internal hemorrhoids

I use peppermint a lot as a treatment for my bowel / digestive disorders and find it helps a lot.  Some people actually take peppermint capsules daily as a way to help with IBS as well for instance, which I have also used it for.

I also underwent STARR procedure 5 years ago and it could have helped then as well, don’t know why I didn’t think of it myself.

Personally, I think that it will have a lot to do with no-one being willing to accredit it as a treatment because it will be seen as a homeopathic remedy!

A huge congratulations from FibroFlutters to Kanga and Ipsen

I was super excited to hear this after Ronny told me about how we almost met in Barcelona at the @eyeforpharma event because of his involvement within the video.  However, he was busy at the ENETS 2018, also in Barca, the week before, where he’d been sponsored by INCA, and couldn’t make it.

Excellent achievement!

Exerpt:

‘In a discussion with Tara Packham, OT, in the fall of 2017, we determined that although the scientific literature had tailored pharmacological treatments based on the presenting mechanistic neurophysiology and immunology of the patient conservative treatments had yet to be truly structured around mechanism. The prevailing evidence-based rehabilitation treatment regimes were like throwing spaghetti at a wall to see what stuck.’
