I Am Living With Fibromyalgia

I recently opened my very first twitter account. I opened it at the same time I created my blog. I wanted to be able to share my blog with as many people as possible. Making my illness VISIBLE with words was important to me! I wanted to find individuals with similar chronic pain issues. I did this to get advice, offer advice, join or create support groups and to see how chronic pain illnesses effect other people in their day to day lives. I learned something through Twitter recently, I AM A SPOONIE! Apparently this term was first used by a woman to describe herself. She is a chronic pain sufferer. The term took off on twitter. By using this term, she made all chronic pain sufferers visible with a word, if they wanted to be. Some people might not like to be labeled unless its wife, mom, daughter, son…
